Gretchen’s 20+ years as a student of yoga and 10+ years of experience teaching include 200-hour YTT Sampoorna by Guru-ji Yogi Hari and Leela Mata, as well as, 150-hour YTT pre-and-post-natal Kundalini as taught by Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa. She also has extensive training in mindfulness and trauma-informed somatic practices issued by the Center for Trauma and Embodiment, Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the UMASS Medical Center, and Embodied Philosophy. Her classes are based around awareness and expansion of prana - vital energy for everyday life - through embodied practices, including slow flow asana, breathwork, and meditation. Gretchen's aim is to cultivate strength, gentleness, gratitude, resilience, and awareness in her students so they can live happier, healthier lives. She loves art, nature, camping, and traveling to different National Parks with her two children.
